Makeup Empties!

This round of makeup empties is about a year worth of empties! I used to wear makeup everyday, but I have not done so in about a year. I still occasionally wear a full face, but not to the degree I used to. I am still happy to see progress with working with my makeup stash, and I will continue to do so! It is just nice to see products being moved out throughout the year.

Revlon Colorstay Powder Foundation: This was an okay powder foundation. It has a nice level of coverage, but it was much too dry and powdery for my liking. It did not blend into the skin nicely, but would cling to any sort of texture I had on my skin. I will not be repurchasing this.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder: I very much enjoyed this powder to set my liquid foundation. It helped give a flawless look to the skin, it did not cake up, and it blended in nicely to the skin. I would repurchase this product.

Becca Mineral Blush in Flower Child: This was a very nice blush! It looked very natural on my skin, and blended in beautifully. I love to buy the sample size makeup products, because they are so much easier to go through, and I do not get as bored with them. I have several more of these smaller blushes from Becca, so I will not be repurchasing this product any time soon.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: This is my preferred method of putting on liquid foundation. I really enjoy the Real Techniques sponge, and you cannot beat the price point. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a makeup sponge. I have already and will continue to repurchase this.

Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage Foundation: I really enjoyed this foundation at first! It gave full coverage and lasted throughout the day. As I continued to use this though, it almost got thicker and thicker. I had trouble blending this in, and getting a more natural finish from it. This also felt very heavy on the skin. I will not be repurchasing this right now, but exploring other foundation options.

Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara: This is my go-to mascara. This product does not fail when I need volume and length to my lashes. I have and will continue to repurchase this, and I highly recommend this to anyone!

Pacifica Ethereal Powder: I believe this was originally supposed to be used as an eyeshadow, but I enjoyed it as a highlighter for my face. This gave a very natural “lit from within” glow to the face that I enjoyed very much. It blended in nicely, and wore beautifully. I would recommend this, but I have not repurchased simply because I have other highlighters to get through.

NYX Matte Finish Spray: I have gone through bottle after bottle of this. I very much enjoy this product. It keeps my makeup on all day long, and keeps me looking matte. I wish they made this product in a bigger bottle! I highly recommend this to anyone that needs help keeping their oils at bay throughout the day. I have and will continue to repurchase this.

Milani Conceal and Perfect Powder Foundation: I did not enjoy this foundation. This was another powder foundation that was much to dry and powdery. This did not have any coverage and left your skin looking terrible. I would not recommend and I will not be repurchasing.

I know that I do not have a problem with finishing foundation productions in my collection, but I will be excited to see some eyeshadow start to roll through these empties! That is where I need to cut down in my collection right now. I have so many eyeshadows, but only 1 face! Do you find that you work through different makeup products quicker than others? What have you used up lately?

July Empties!

Another month has come and gone, and I am feeling good about the size of my stash and the amount of products I am using and enjoying! It is important to be happy with the size of your stash, and that you enjoy using your products and getting use out of them. If not, then what is the point, Ya feel me?

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads: I did not think that I would like these, but I actually enjoyed them very much and would like to repurchase them! They are super easy to use, are big enough to cover both eyes, and have enough cleanser on them that they do not dry out. I highly recommend giving these a shot!

LUSH Aqua Marina: My holy grail facial cleanser! I won’t beat a dead horse, but I highly recommend this cleanser! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Bath Frosting in Put On Your Birthday Suit: I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar Bath Frostings! They are super luxurious, lather extremely well, and last forever. I always feel like a queen when using these products! Put On Your Birthday Suit smells amazing! It has scent notes of birthday cake, sage, fruit loops, and jasmine. I would definitely repurchase this product!

Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo: This was a very nice dry shampoo! It was volumizing, smelled nice, and left my hair feeling clean. I did feel like I needed to use a lot of product to get the effect that I wanted, which I did not enjoy. I will not be repurchasing this dry shampoo. I enjoy other dry shampoos more, and that are more affordable.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringue in Lemon Rose: I loved this! It smelled of fizzy lemons, sugar, and a hint of floral. I love Whipped Meringues. They are super moisturizing and the scent lasts for days on the skin. I highly recommend giving these a shot, and I will be repurchasing!

N०7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes: I enjoyed these! I am pretty picky about face wipes, but these were not bad! They had enough cleanser, so they were all equally saturated, and they did not leave a weird film on my face. They did not get all of my makeup off, which is a con, but they were decent. I would look into repurchasing these wipes.

We finished a candle! Scentsational in Midnight Woods: My partner loved this and used this in his office when he was gaming or working. It was a very nice scent. It smelled of plum, cedar wood, and amber. It is soy wax which is our preference for wax. We would definitely repurchase!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringue in Cabana Boy: Can you tell that I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar and their Whipped Meringues?! I didn’t love this scent at first, but it really grew on me. I kept this on my bedside table, and it was a nice relaxing scent to use at night. It smells of black peppercorn and cherry. Guys, try these lotions!
