Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk

Let’s talk first step cleansers! I use first step cleansers to help melt my away my makeup and give my facial cleanser a chance to actually clean my skin and pores. What are first step cleansers? I use cleansing oils/balms/milks as my first step cleanser. They usually have oils and butters in them that help to break down and melt away makeup, even liquid foundation and waterproof mascara. I have really found that using first step cleansers has allowed my facial cleansers to be more effective!

I did not have high hopes for Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. I love their body care items, but I did not believe that they could do skincare. Man, did they surprise me! This cleansing milk breaks down all of my makeup, even waterproof mascara, and gives my skin a nice clean base for my facial cleanser to work. Soap and Glory Cleansing Milk is not harsh and does not strip the skin like some facial oils can do. It smells lightly of peaches and leaves a faint minty/tingly feeling on the skin.

Soap and Glory Cleansing Milk has peach and goji berry extract in it that is high in antioxidants and vitamins A and C which is important for cell renewal. It also has Oxyginseng Technology that is an organic complex that helps increase circulation and cell respiration, and also speeds oxygen and nutrient delivery to help fight aging and re-energize skin. I believe this is why my skin feels slightly minty/tingly when I use this product! This technology is increasing my circulation and oxygen levels in my skin so that it can receive those nutrients quicker and more effectively.

This product comes in a pump, which is just amazing! You can control how much product you get, and it is super easy to use. It also is super cost effective! Most first step cleansers that I buy are around $20 and I get less than 8 oz of product. Soap and Glory Cleansing Milk is $12 and you get over 11 oz of product. Talk about awesome! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking into a new first step cleanser to try or would just like a quick and easy way to remove makeup. What first step cleansers do you use or how do you like to remove your makeup at night? Let me know in the comments!

April Box of Sugar: Spring Clean your mind, body, & soul.

Man, oh man, did Ahhh Sugar Sugar throw us some new products this month! They are killing it with their product innovation! We also received 5 full-sized products again! Are we spoiled or what?

The first product is their most popular seller, their beloved bath frosting. Let’s Get Down, dawg Bath Frosting is a beautiful, delicate clean scent that smells of powdered laundry and citrus. This bath frosting is said to have scent notes of cucumber, melon, lemon balm, and vanilla cream musk. This smells exactly like their 7pm in Charleston Salt Scrub to my nose! You can’t go wrong with Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Bath Frostings.

I am loving that Ahhh Sugar Sugar sneaks these perfume oils into our BOS! (You are) Pearfection Perfume oil smells like sweet pears. I am excited to see how this scent warms up on the skin with the added violet and sage to this scent.

Fresh to the Core Whipped Meringue is a delightful fruity scent that is perfect for spring and summer! This has scent notes of apple, melon, peach, and delicate white flower. I smell apple and melon with white flower underneath the fruit. This Whipped Meringue is in their new format with the squeeze tube instead of the pot.

These next two products are to be used as a set. We have Posh Lyfe Hand and Foot Scrub and Clean Slate Foot Mask. Posh Lyfe smells like lemon and lavender martini. It has sea salt to exfoliate and sweet almond oil and coconut oil to moisturize and soften. Clean Stale smells of lavender, orange, and cotton. It has french green clay to detox and clarify skin along with kaolin clay to soothe and soften.

I think Ahhh Sugar Sugar has the best subscription box on the market, and every month I am blown away by their innovation and creativity. If you haven’t already, get your name on their waiting list!

April Empties

I am amazed with the amount of empties that I have been using up these past few months! I am definitely not complaining, because I have a lot to get through, just surprised with how much I have been using!

Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo: I did not enjoy this product. It made my hair sticky and did not soak up the oils in my hair. It also smelled strongly of green apples. I will not be repurchasing this.

LUSH Kitchen Ponche Shower Gel: My partner used this up, and I am sad to this go! This was a LUSH Kitchen exclusive from two Christmases ago. I loved this smell, especially on my partner, and it reminds me of LUSH Christmases past.

Nо7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes: I enjoyed these wipes! They do not leave a residue on my face, and they get the majority of my makeup off. I do not know if I like them as much as my Simple face wipes, but they were not bad. I would repurchase them in the future.

L’ORÉAL Total Repair Damage-Erasing Balm: I love hair masks! They are so useful and necessary for my hair. This hair masks helps provide deep moisture for my hair, and allows me to extend the time in between haircuts. I have used this hair masks for years, and I highly recommend it.

Nature Made Vitamin C: I have used up my Vitamin C! I regularly take Vitamin C, D, and a Women’s multivitamin. This was a good Vitamin C, and I would recommend.

LUSH Kitchen Happy Blooming Body Lotion: I very much enjoy Lush Kitchen lotions. They are very light on the skin, fast absorbing, and super moisturizing. I very much enjoy the Happy Blooming scent, and I would repurchase if they ever make it again.

L’ORÉAL Ever Pure Shampoo and Conditioner: I received these from Influenster for the purpose of reviewing. I very much enjoyed these! They made my hair soft and smooth, and I could not stop using them! I highly recommend them.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringue in Saturday A.M. Cartoons: I very much enjoyed this scent and I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringues! I thought at first, this scent would be too sweet for me as a lotion, but I used this as a night cream and it was a very nice, soothing, sweet touch before bed.

LUSH Aqua Marina: I have spoken about this too many times! It is my holy grail face cleanser, and it works way to well for me to try anything else. Just try it, people!

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water: I very much enjoyed this! This took off any left over makeup without leaving a greasy feeling on my face. My one issue with this product was that it would burn my eyes at times. I would repurchase this product.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Sugar Slushie in Grape Bubblegum: The more I use sugar slushies, the more I enjoy them! This scent is absolute perfection! I would repurchase anything in this scent!

Scoopable Tart Wax in Blueberry Buckle Cake: I really enjoy this scent! I love the scent of blueberries! I very much enjoy scoopable wax, but I will not repurchase this. I am trying to transition to soy-based wax only.

LUSH Eau Roma Water: I enjoy this Toner Water when my face is feeling extra dehydrated and sensitive. I keep a small bottle on hand for those times of need. It is super gentle and hydrating. You can even put this on after makeup and it does not disturb anything.

Jouer Conditioning Lip Treatment: I very much enjoyed this lip balm. It was very nourishing and hydrating. I would not repurchase though. I have drugstore lip treatments that work just as well.

LUSH Yummy Mummy Shower Cream: I enjoyed this shower cream, but it was not a favorite. This was from two Mother’s Days ago. This is a cult favorite for a lot of LUSH fans, and they did not bring it back this year.

Bodycology Blackberry Vanilla Body Spray: This smelled just like B&BW Black Raspberry Vanilla. I received this as a stocking stuffer from my Grandparents a few years ago. It was a nice body spray.

March Empties

I have so many empties this month and I am so happy about it! I am super excited to be working through my stash and getting use out of my products! Does anyone else love using up products?!

Shea Moisture Rescue and Repair Clarifying Shampoo: I did not like this at all. I had to use so much product just to work it through all of my hair. I did not feel like it truly clarified my hair or even got all of the product in it out. I will not be repurchasing, and I am looking for a new clarifying shampoo. Does anyone have any recommendations?

LUSH Tea Tree Toner Water: Do I need to say anything else about this? It is amazing and you need to try it!

Bath Bake Love Eggnog Bath Glaze: This is the first product that I have tried from Bath Bake Love, and I love it! This is an in-shower body conditioner. This was super moisturizing, and smelled amazing! The scent lasts on the skin for hours, and I would definitely repurchase!

Candy Panda Wax Dream Machine Whipped Body Scrub: This is my first time trying a whipped scrub from Candy Panda Wax, and I loved it! It is as good as everyone says, and there is a reason why people rave about them! I love the scent Dream Machine. It is all lavender and HIWTK goodness! I will be repurchasing.

Big Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo: If you know me, you know my love affair with NYM’s Dry Shampoo. I have been using and loving that product for so long, I felt the need to branch out and see what else the dry shampoo community had for me. I did not love this product and I would not repurchase. It is super sticky and does not absorb oil that well. It has a very strong green apple scent too.

LUSH Dreamwash Shower Smoothie: I loved this more than I thought I would! It has a very nice, calming, relaxing lavender scent. It was not super moisturizing, which normally I do not like, but I did not mind it with this. It was super creamy and calming to use on long days and the product lasted a while, since I did not use it every time I showered. I would repurchase, but I am not sure it is still available.

Vera Wang Lovestruck Perfume: I did not like this, and I forced myself to finally use it up. I was way to sweet for me, and at the end of it, you could really smell the alcohol. I would not repurchase.

Dove Curls Defining Mousse: I was pleasantly surprised by this product! It was a nice whipped texture, that smoothed easily through my hair. It did not leave my hair crunchy, but left it soft and manageable. It took care of my frizz, and left my curls defined. I would repurchase.

Young Living Thieve Essential Oil: I love this stuff! It has a nice spicy scent, and I use it when I am sick. It really helps to kick a cold or flu, before it gets worse. I defuse the oil and/or put it on the bottoms of my feet. I highly recommend looking into essential oils.

Nature Made Vitamin D Supplement: I take vitamin D with my vitamin C. I have read that taking them together helps your body absorb the vitamin C. I have yet to pick up another bottle of it, and I running low on my vitamin C, so I will be making a purchase here soon.

Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Aromatherapy Bath and Massage Oil: I very much enjoyed this. It was great to add to baths and my partner and I enjoyed using this for massages. I do not know that I will pick this up again, but I recommend trying it!

OLLY The Perfect Women’s Multi: I have used up another bottle of these! I feel really good about using these, and I feel like I have my life together when regularly taking a multivitamin. Does anyone else ever feel that way? I highly recommend trying these!
