Ahhh Sugar Sugar: Twenty Four Karat Tea Tonic Infused Facial Toner

Now this is something to write home about.

I do a lot of reviews on Ahhh Sugar Sugar. I love the brand, what they stand for, and the cool chicks behind it all. I do not love everything they do, and I am honest about that, but I do enjoy trying it all! I am cautious about what I put on my face. I have sensitive, acne prone skin so I try very hard not to irritate it or break it out. I would honestly not try facial products from most bath and body companies for several reasons. But when Ahhh Sugar Sugar came out with a facial toner, I did not hesitate. I know Haley and the Ahhh Sugar Sugar team. I have been using and following them for years. I trust their methods, intentions, and products. And they did not disappoint.

First, the packaging. This facial toner comes in an amazing and luxurious frosted glass bottle with a dropper. It is classy. It is elegant, and it is bougie. It is everything that Ahhh Sugar Sugar is and continues to be. They do not skimp on their presentation, which makes using their products so much fun. It is art in your bathroom.

Now onto the good stuff. This facial toner is said to brighten and refresh tired, dull skin. It also has several ingredients that are great for soothing skin as well. I like that they are not claiming that this product will do a laundry list of things. They are keeping it simple with what this product will do for your skin and how it will do it for your skin.

I have noticed after using this product for a few weeks, that my skin is brighter, clearer, and less textured. It helps soothe any irritated or red patches on my skin, while giving my overall complexion a total “wake-up” and refreshed feel. I use this as a moisturizer during the day, and it is perfect for this combo girl’s skin. It is very light, and sinks into the skin quickly. It has a light herbal, floral scent that is not at all strong or overpowering, but is from the oils and ingredients themselves. The one thing about this product that I do not love is that the botanicals in the bottle can stop your dropper from grabbing product, or they come out with the product onto your hands and face.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar is having a preorder right now, where this and several other products are available to buy. Go check it out here: Ahhh Sugar Sugar Preorder. Tell me what you think and what you buy! Thank you for being here!

April Box of Sugar: Farmhouse Fresh

This month’s Box of Sugar is WAY different than anything else Ahhh Sugar Sugar has put out. They went with a totally different theme and feel than what they normally do, and this is a nice change! For this month’s box, they went with a totally clean and natural look and feel, and it seems like there might be more to come with these types of products.

The Barn at Post Oak and Ahhh Sugar Sugar collabrated again to bring us an AMAZING Soy Wax Candle. I am so happy that Ahhh Sugar Sugar uses and promotes soy wax, because that is what I like to use in my own home. This candle is scented in lemon verbena, cedar, peppermint, vanilla sugar, and eucalyptus. You know what is crazy? You can smell all of those scents, and they blend together perfectly. On the top, you get the lemon, peppermint and eucalyptus, the vanilla sugar sweeten all those “harsher” scents with the cedar giving it all some depth. Ahhh Sugar Sugar was also super kind, and provided everyone with very elegant matches in a glass bottle.

Sea Salt and Vanilla Bean Bath Oil. Ahhh Sugar Sugar has put out some nice bath oils before, but this bath oil is simple and luxurious, at the same time. I am very excited to use this, and see how this warms up in the heat of the bath. This smells of sweet vanilla bean, that is mellowed by the oil and salt.

Body Soap. Ahhh Sugar Sugar puts out Bath Frostings and Sugar-Free Bath Frostings. This is just labeled as Body Soap, so I am curious to see if this is a whole new formula, or is the same formula as the Sugar-Free Bath Frostings. This is scented in apricot, bergamont, and mint. This smells of sweet apricot, with just a hint of sweet mint.

Body Scrub. I have missed Ahhh Sugar Sugar scrubs! I ran out a few months ago, and just haven’t restocked yet. This is scented in rosemary, blood orange, basil, and thyme. This smells of sweet blood orange and herbs. It is a very nice, clean scent and one that I feel would transfer well to other products.

Hand Soap. This is a gorgeous hand soap that is all peachy and iridescent. I am excited to see them do a hand soap that is not foaming. This product looks amazing and I am excited to see how this works! It is scented in lemon, mint, and grass. This smells of minty lemon, with grass as an anchor. It is a nice clean, spring scent.

April Empties!

This month was a slow month for empties! I feel like across the board, for a lot of people, this has been a long, slow month for empties and just in general! I wonder why that is?

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Shenanigans Whipped Meringue: I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringues, but I much prefer them in a pot instead of the tube. This was a very nice scent of fresh apples. I don’t know that I would repurchase this scent, only because Ahhh Sugar Sugar offers so many other unique and amazing scents!

LUSH Tea Tree Toner Water: This is a holy grail item for me, and something that I constantly use in my skincare routine. This toner helps to keep my oils at bay and my skin clear.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil: This was an alright cleansing oil. It didn’t WOW me, but it also wasn’t terrible. It got most of my makeup off, but I don’t know that I would recommend it.

LUSH Aqua Marina: This is my holy grail face wash. It is super calming for my sensitive skin, doesn’t break me out, keeps my skin clear and oil free, and you get used to the scent. I would highly recommend and I continue to repurchase.

Shea Butter Vanilla Buttercream: This was a stocking stuffer from my grandparents. It was a nice moisturizer and fit easily in my purse.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar The Jessica Bath Frosting: It took me awhile to finish this bath frosting, and this is the first bath frosting I have finished in awhile. This was an amazing, unique, and complex scent. I would highly recommend it if you haven’t used this scent before, and I always recommend Ahhh Sugar Sugar Bath Frostings!

Nyakio Maracuja and Yangu Soothing Oil: I very much enjoyed this facial oil! This was a very soothing and calming facial oil. It moisturized my skin without leaving it oily or feeling heavy, and it did not break me out. This had a very calming and grounding scent that was not overpowering on the skin. I would highly recommend this facial oil.

How did you feel about the month of April and all that it brought or didn’t bring?

March Box of Sugar: If Willy Wonka was the Easter Bunny

This month’s Box of Sugar is absolute Easter perfection! I was not expecting the Sugar Shack Crew to match all the packaging and make an Easter Basket type feel with this box! It was amazing to open and get that sense of wonder like a kid again! Ahhh Sugar Sugar does it again!

Smell The Rainbow Detangler: Ahhh Sugar Sugar has done detanglers before, and they are always super cute, make your hair smell great, and condition well helping to detangle your hair. I am excited to use this product, because it smells so flippin’ good! It smells like straight up skittles! But skittles that have all been mashed together! It is a SUPER sweet and slightly fruity scent and I am here for it.

You’re Turning Violet, Violet. Bath Frosting: Everyone knows, Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Bath Frostings are insanely luxicious. They lather up like a dream, they offer some exfoliation, they don’t dry your skin out, and they are beautiful to look at and smell amazing! I believe it is super generous of them to offer a full sized bath frosting in almost every BOS. I was expecting this to smell like Violets. The scent notes for this is juicy bubblegum, warm blueberry pie, and vanilla ice cream. I smell the warm blueberry bakery scent, with just a hint of sweetness from the bubblegum, and the vanilla ice cream to cut threw all the bakery and sweet.

Candy Land Waltz Dry Oil Spray: I am a fan of Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s dry oil spray. It is such an easy, fuss free way to moisturize quickly. This dry oil spray has added shimmer, which will be a nice touch in the summer sun! This product has scent notes of powdered sugar, cake batter, sugar sprinkles, and sweet tarts. To my nose, I get a bakery sweet tart scent. I am not loving the scent in the bottle, but I am curious to see how it smells on the skin.

Dreamers of Dreams Solid Bubble Bath: This pastel rainbow bubble bar is gorgeous! I love all the colors and the way they wrapped it up like a lollipop. Ahhh Sugar Sugar bubble bars create mounds of bubbles and make the water super soft in your tub. This has scent notes of watermelon jolly rancher and fruit loops, which they hit spot on. It smells like a super sweet fruit loops scent. I love it and want more of it!

Candy is Dandy Scented Nail Polish: This is a new product for Ahhh Sugar Sugar and one that is super interesting to see them make. I love painting my nails, so I am excited to see how this nail polish holds up. It is said to be scented in grape airhead. At this point, I only smell the nail polish, but should be able to smell the grape airhead when my nails dry.

Overall, Ahhh Sugar Sugar knocks it out of the park again! I don’t know how these guys do it, but they just continue to put out amazing, creative products that “wow” everyone. Plus, they continue to communicate with and listen to their customers! There is a reason these ladies have a cult following, and this is why!

If you haven’t tried Ahhh Sugar Sugar, what are you waiting for?

July Empties!

Another month has come and gone, and I am feeling good about the size of my stash and the amount of products I am using and enjoying! It is important to be happy with the size of your stash, and that you enjoy using your products and getting use out of them. If not, then what is the point, Ya feel me?

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads: I did not think that I would like these, but I actually enjoyed them very much and would like to repurchase them! They are super easy to use, are big enough to cover both eyes, and have enough cleanser on them that they do not dry out. I highly recommend giving these a shot!

LUSH Aqua Marina: My holy grail facial cleanser! I won’t beat a dead horse, but I highly recommend this cleanser! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Bath Frosting in Put On Your Birthday Suit: I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar Bath Frostings! They are super luxurious, lather extremely well, and last forever. I always feel like a queen when using these products! Put On Your Birthday Suit smells amazing! It has scent notes of birthday cake, sage, fruit loops, and jasmine. I would definitely repurchase this product!

Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo: This was a very nice dry shampoo! It was volumizing, smelled nice, and left my hair feeling clean. I did feel like I needed to use a lot of product to get the effect that I wanted, which I did not enjoy. I will not be repurchasing this dry shampoo. I enjoy other dry shampoos more, and that are more affordable.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringue in Lemon Rose: I loved this! It smelled of fizzy lemons, sugar, and a hint of floral. I love Whipped Meringues. They are super moisturizing and the scent lasts for days on the skin. I highly recommend giving these a shot, and I will be repurchasing!

N०7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes: I enjoyed these! I am pretty picky about face wipes, but these were not bad! They had enough cleanser, so they were all equally saturated, and they did not leave a weird film on my face. They did not get all of my makeup off, which is a con, but they were decent. I would look into repurchasing these wipes.

We finished a candle! Scentsational in Midnight Woods: My partner loved this and used this in his office when he was gaming or working. It was a very nice scent. It smelled of plum, cedar wood, and amber. It is soy wax which is our preference for wax. We would definitely repurchase!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Whipped Meringue in Cabana Boy: Can you tell that I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar and their Whipped Meringues?! I didn’t love this scent at first, but it really grew on me. I kept this on my bedside table, and it was a nice relaxing scent to use at night. It smells of black peppercorn and cherry. Guys, try these lotions!

June Empties!

Well, another month has come and gone. We are officially halfway through the year, and it feels good! I am happy with where my stash is at and the amount of products that I have used up so far! We are mostly unpacked here at our new apartment, and I have all of my bath stuff put away and lookin’ pretty 🙂 I am enjoying our new space and it feels good to make it a home. Now onto the empties!

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner: We buy these by the liter during the Ulta Liter Sale. This is my partners favorite shampoo and conditioner. He loves the way it makes his scalp tingly! I highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for a shampoo and conditioner to check this out. It really cleans the scalp and hair effectively without stripping the natural oils.

The Dirty Goat Probiotic Deodorant in Coven: The Dirty Goat makes the absolute best all-natural deodorant! She puts diatomaceous earth in her deodorant which pulls toxic metals out of your system. She also includes shea butter and probiotics to help nourish your skin. Coven is a warm, spicy scent that is perfect for winter. I will always recommend The Dirty Goat and any of her products, especially her deodorant!

Witch Baby Soap Candy Quartz Body Scrub: This was a lovely, sweet, bubblegum scent that was just delightful to use! It was a pink soft scrub that held pink iridescent shimmer and was so pretty to see on the skin! I love Witch Baby Soap scrubs! They are super moisturizing while also being a very effective scrub. I highly recommend giving any of her scrubs a try.

Shea Shea Bakery Lemon Pound Cake Body Butter: I enjoy Shea Shea Bakery Body Butter as a super moisturizing and nourishing hand cream. I do not enjoy this all over my skin. It is just too thick and moisturizing for my whole body. I will not be repurchasing this again, because I do not need to buy a product just to use it on my hands. The Lemon Pound Cake scent is amazing and I love anything lemon.

HASK Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo: I very much enjoyed this product and I felt like it worked well and lasted throughout the day. It smells very nice and sprays well. I always compare every Dry Shampoo to my tried and true favorite, NYM’s Dry Shampoo. I do not believe that this preformed better than NYM’s and it is more expensive. I might repurchase this if there is a sale again, because it was enjoyable to use and I did like it. What is your favorite Dry Shampoo?

The Dirty Goat Whipped Cleansing Scrub in Warhol: This has got to be one of my favorite scents that Erica has ever made! This watermelon lemonade scent is absolute perfection and smells perfectly of sweet watermelon and tart lemonade and is made for summer! Erica’s whipped cleansing scrubs are amazing! They are super thick and lather up while scrubbing away all the dead skin. I highly recommend and will continue to repurchase!

LUSH Shower Smoothie in Lush Lime: I order this from the Lush Kitchen about a year ago. The scent for this degraded fast. When I first got this product, it smelled of a sweet, tangy strawberry margarita. After a few months, it smelt of plastic and soap. My partner and I used it up, and enjoyed using it, but it did not have any amazing scent. It was very liquidy soap, that did not lather, and left a creamy moisturizing feel to the skin.

I did not have a huge month for empties, but that is to be expected with this whole move. I am sure in the coming months, I will have more empties as I get back into the swing of using my products again. I feel good with any amount of empties, as long as I feel good about the use and enjoyment I am getting out of my current rotation of products! What did everyone else use up this month? Did you guys have any favorite products in your empties this month?

May Empties

Another month, another list of empties! I really enjoy reading empties post and it encourages me to continue to “Shop My Stash” and use what I have before buying more. It is also just fun to look back on what I/you have used throughout the month! You get an honest review about a product that has been used all the way to the end, which I think it pretty valuable!

Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray: I very much enjoyed this hairspray! It smelled great, didn’t give me super sticky or crunchy hair, but had enough hold to keep my flyaways down. I would repurchase in the future, but am looking at other hairsprays to try currently.

The Dirty Goat Body Cream in Paris In The Winter: I was blown away by this body cream! It is such a lightweight body cream that absorbs super easily but is highly moisturizing! The scent Paris In The Winter is a strong perfume scent, and I believe it is a Chanel dupe. I did enjoy this scent, but it is not a scent I feel like I NEED in my life. I will definitely repurchase this body cream in the future with a different scent!

Scoopable Tart Wax in Lemon Verbena: I very much enjoyed this scent, but that should come as no surprise, it is LEMON scented! I enjoy this scoopable wax, and I would repurchase if I was not trying to solely use paraffin-free wax. I also believe that this company is no longer in business.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Sugar Slushie in Summer Sangria: The more I use Sugar Slushies, the more I am finding that I love these products! They are such a unique product and are fun to work with in the shower. Summer Sangria is an amazing summer scent that smells of apples, peaches, and wine. It is a crispy and fruity scent! I will definitely repurchase this product in the future.

OLLY The Perfect Women’s Multi: I love these vitamins! I can really tell a difference when I am taking them regularly with my energy levels, sleep, and overall wellness. I will continue to repurchase this product and recommend this to everyone that I know!

Zoetic Flower Child Beauty Bath Booster: I very much enjoyed these bath salts! They come in such pretty packaging and I love the scent of anything lavender. I found these very relaxing and soothing. I do not think that I would repurchase, simply because it is only a one-use product and I would prefer to buy something that I can get more than one use out of.

Victoria’s Secret Noir Tease Shower Gel: I did not really enjoy this product very much. It did what it was supposed to do, but I am just spoiled by all of my small business shower products that using this was just boring. I have also had this product for several years, and I believe the scent was just going off. I would not repurchase.

Vanilla Coconut Hand Lotion: I received this big ‘ole bottle of lotion from my grandmother for Christmas two years ago, and I very much enjoyed it! I used this bottle to fill up my to-go bottle of lotion that I keep in my purse. It has a nice scent, and absorbs quickly into the skin! Overall, a very nice product.

N૦7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil: I very much enjoyed this cleansing oil! This took all of my makeup off and did not burn my eyes. It has a nice pump and you get a decent amount of product in the bottle, more than with most. It has a nice delicate smell that is not overpowering at all.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Shower Creme in Get Blitzened: Ahhh Sugar Sugar has one of the best in-shower moisturizer formulas! At first, I did not really enjoy this scent, but after getting it in the shower I really started to enjoy it! It has a very nice eggnog and cinnamon scent that lasts nicely on the skin. I would repurchase this product and highly recommend it and this scent!

Zoetic Petal Drops Facial Oil: This is my holy grail facial oil! It is light and delicate on the skin and nicely moisturizing. One of the reasons why I love this product so much is because it does not sit heavily on my skin, but absorbs fully. I highly recommend this product and will continue to repurchase it!

Style Sexy Hair Texturizing Spray Clay: This has taken me years to finish, because I do not really have a need for texturizing sprays! I did like product, but it can be difficult to work with. It has a very powerful and direct spray, that can really clump up your hair. I would not repurchase, but it was nice and did what it was supposed to do.
