Glory Box Whipped Cleansing Scrub

I am a big fan of The Dirty Goat’s Whipped Cleansing Scrubs. Whipped Cleansing Scrubs are whipped soaps that have an added exfoliant in them to exfoliate the skin while it cleans. The Dirty Goat’s Whipped Cleansing Scrubs are super thick and lather up extremely well! Which is something that makes me very happy! 🙂 They also have so much sugar packed into them that they effectively scrub your skin without needing to add another “scrub” product.

Glory Box has scent notes of french pear, vanilla bean, toasted maplewood and amber. It is a very complex and unique scent; I will not do it justice through these mere words! I can distinctly make out the scent of maplewood though. I also get the scent of apple and of an almost butterscotch scent. The scent really warms up in the shower and it is a very luxurious experience! The colors in this scrub are super saturated and make it a fun experience to “paint” the colors on while washing and then rinse them off. Never fear, they do not stain the tub or you!

Glory Box Whipped Cleansing Scrub is available here! She also still has a ton of goodies available on her site to check out while you are there! I highly recommend The Dirty Goat, so have fun while browsing her products. She also restocks products on Sunday nights, so keep you eyes peeled for that!

September Box of Sugar: A Boo-tiful Surprise

I have more than loved every Box of Sugar I have ever gotten, but we cannot love everything, and I still hate to say it, but I do not love this box. None of the products really WOW me. They are all great products, just not my cup of tea, and that is OK. In this blog, I will not talk bad about these products or Ahhh Sugar Sugar. I will give you the same information I always do: scent notes, the different types of products, and any interesting information. I love Ahhh Sugar Sugar, and not loving this Box of Sugar does not change that!

Firstly, the design and craft that was put into decorating this Box of Sugar is stunning! They went above and beyond with this, and I love the spooky Halloween decorations!

The first product in this month’s Box of Sugar is Scream Cream Whipped Meringue. This has scent notes of warm pumpkin pie and pumpkin muffins. This smells just like warm pumpkin pie, which I am sure most people love! If you have been following my blog for any amount of time, then you know that I LOVE Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Whipped Meringues. They are excellent body butters, and are wonderful at quenching dry skin.

Eye of the Beast Bath Bomb Premium Bath Bomb: This bath bomb is a beautiful blue color with a blue jewel for the “eye.” They were inspired by September’s birthstone: sapphire. This has scent notes of wild bayberry, juniper berry, vanilla sugar, fresh fruit. This bath bomb looks wonderful and I am sure will perform beautifully in the water.

Autumn Rainfall Anywhere Spritzer: My fiánce really enjoys this scent! It is a nice manly, clean scent. It smells just like an expensive cologne. It has scent notes of fallen leaves, warm amber, and brisk air. I mainly just get the warm amber and brisk air. It is a perfect fall scent! Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Anywhere Spritzers cling to what they are sprayed up and can freshen up a room!

Boo-Berry Sugar Slushie: This is the product that I am really excited for! I did not order this scent from the last restock, hoping it would be in this box! Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Sugar Slushies are a cleansing scrub, meaning you do not need to use an added soap with these scrubs, because they have soap added in! They are also packed with oils, so they are super moisturizing. This has scent notes of red berries, sugared coconut, white flowers, and blueberries. I am getting a nice fruity, white tea scent. This product is beautiful and does not disappoint.

Sweet as Pie Premium Bath Bomb: This bath bomb is in the shape of a pumpkin face with cocoa butter “icing” as the features to add some extra moisture to your skin and tub! This has scent notes of warm pumpkin pie and pecan praline.

The next Box of Sugar theme is “Gobble ‘TIll You Wobble!” I am very curious and interested to see what they come up with for this theme! If you are interested in getting signed up or putting your name on the waiting list for the Box of Sugar subscription, check out their Facebook page AhhhSugarSugar Sugar Babies!

September Empties

The months continue to fly by and every month I am happy to be getting use out of my products! Here is what I used up in the month of September!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Aloha, Beaches Sugar Scrub: I did not think that I would like this scent, because I am not the biggest fan of coconut, but I really ended up enjoying it! You can hardly smell the coconut, and what really stands out is the cherry and pineapple juice. I already love Ahhh Sugar Sugar Scrubs, and this product does not disappoint! If you haven’t already, you NEED to try their scrubs.

The Dirty Goat Pink Grapefruit moisturizing body scrub: The Dirty Goat does good scrubs! They somehow seem to pack more “scrubbies” into a product than seemingly possible! It really does resurface the skin, and continue to moisturize after it has been used. The pink grapefruit scent is delightful as well! I have a review of this product here!

LUSH Aqua Marina Face Wash: If you have read any of my empties, you know that this is my holy grail face wash! It is perfect for my combination, sensitive skin. It keeps my skin clean, doesn’t irritate it, and keeps my oil at bay!

Macadamia Nourishing Moisture Hair Masque: I did not enjoy this product. I have used several different hair masks, and all of them were better than this one. I did not feel as if this helped or repaired my hair in any way. It may have added some extra moisture to my hair, but not much else. If nothing else, it did smell good!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Morality Whipped Meringue: I enjoyed this whipped meringue! It is not my favorite scent they have done, but it is very clean and herbally. I really enjoy and recommend their whipped meringues! You can check out a review of this product here!

The Dirty Goat Natural Probiotic Deodorant: I LOVE this product! I cannot say enough good things about this deodorant! I recommend this product to everyone, and will continue to do it. It keeps me smelling fresh, does not have any of that pesky aluminum in it, and it smells amazing! My pores are also clear because I do not have any buildup of toxic metals! I have a review of this here and check out her website here!

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil: I love this cleansing oil! I use this to take off my makeup at night, and get my face ready to cleanse. This is an affordable oil that breaks down makeup, even oil based makeup. It has a pump, so the oil does not get all over the place, and it smells amazing! If you are in the market for a cleansing oil, I recommend giving this a shot!

E.l.f. Cleansing Cloths: These makeup wipes were just okay. They did not stay wet enough, so I felt like I needed to use something else to help get my makeup off. If they could stay saturated in the solution, then I believe they would be better. They are nice for the price, and they do get swatches off well.

Not Your Mother’s Hair Spray: This product is terrible, and I hate to say that. The nozzle got all clogged, so it either wouldn’t spray or would spray in a shot somewhere. It did alright to add hold to my hair, but it was nothing amazing. It is not something that I would buy again.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask: I enjoyed this product and it did last a very long time, but it is not something that I would repurchase. I believe I can get the same results from a highly moisturizing lip balm and could pay a 1/4th of the price for it.

Colorado Earth Scents: We used up two 6-cube clams scented in Lemon Pound Cake and Java Joy. These were a few of my favorite! My fiánce and I love anything coffee scented, so the Java Joy was a huge hit in our house! I love anything lemon scent, so the Lemon Pound was a favorite of mine. I will definitely repurchase from this company. I like to use soy instead of paraffin, and this company does 100% Natural U.S. Soy Wax Melts. Check out their website here!

NYX Matte Finish: This is my favorite finishing spray! I like to have a matte finish, and it helps keep my makeup set all day. I have probably gone through 10 bottles of this, and continue to repurchase.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Spiked Lemonade Shower Creme

Shower Crémes are one of Ahhh Sugar Sugar newer creations. I have used in-shower body lotions for a few years now, and I think they are a wonderful inventions, especially in the dead of winter when your skin needs a little extra hydration!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Shower Créme come in squeeze tube like bottles, so you can easily control the amount of product you are using, and you are also not dipping your hands into a tub, so the product does not become contaminated. I personally enjoy this format of a shower créme the best out of all the ones that I have tried. The squeeze tube bottle really changes the game!

Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Shower Créme is packed full with natural shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and aloe vera. It also has emulsifying wax to help bring the oil and water together to help penetrate the skin. It is a very nice formula that leaves your skin feeling moisturized and supple. When using the correct amount, it absorbs quickly into the skin; you do not need a lot to moisturize and cover your whole body. Once all rubbed in, you can step into the water spray for a few seconds and get any excess off. When toweling off, pat dry as to not strip your skin of the nutritious oils that were just added to your skin.

Spiked Lemonade has scent notes of pink lemonade, iced champagne, and sugared lemons. I primarily get notes of iced champagne and sugared lemons. Actually, I get notes of sugared iced champagne! It is a very light and delicate scent, not offensive in any way. It does stick to the skin, but it is not very strong in the bottle or on the skin. I am wondering if this is because of the format it is in, but cannot be sure, as I do not have it in any other formula.

Overall, I think Ahhh Sugar Sugar has done a great job at inventing this Shower Créme! It is highly moisturizing and their squeeze tube bottle has made it incredibly easy to use and not waste product. I really enjoy this scent and I am interested in trying Spiked Lemonade in different formats.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar Peppermint Mocha Bath Frosting

With fall upon us, and winter quickly approaching, I reached into my hall closet and brought out some fall/winter goodies from last season that I was saving for this special time.

Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Bath Frostings are a whipped soap with added sugar for a mild exfoliant. I find that Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Bath Frostings are not as drying as other soaps or shower gels, but I still use a lotion after the shower for a little extra hydration! Bath Frosting creates a nice thick lather when used with a loofa or one of Ahhh Sugar Sugar’s Sea Sponges! The sugar does provide a mild exfoliant. I notice it more in this particular Bath Frosting because of the added coffee grounds in this frosting.

Peppermint Mocha has scent notes of black coffee, sugar cane, and peppermint. It is a very strong sweet peppermint scent with the coffee as a back note. It smells deliciously like your favorite hot beverage! In the shower, the scent only increases, which makes for an amazing shower or bath experience. You are hugged by sweet peppermint and coffee. The peppermint oil actually leaves a cooling feeling on your skin and is a nice added touch.

As always, the container is reusable or recyclable. Ahhh Sugar Sugar never tests on animals and makes their own unique creations! If this comes back during a winter restock, I highly recommend picking it up!

Shea Shea Bakery: Cinnamon Bun Body Butter

I only needed to use this product one time to formulate a review of it! Shea Shea Bakery stands on the fact that they use raw, unrefined Shea Butter, and if you have ever used raw, unrefined Shea Butter you will know this to be a fact!

Dipping into their body butter, it is not smooth like most commercial body butters. It is more “solid” and you have to work it into the skin. It melts quickly from the heat of your hands, and it provides hours of moisture for the skin. It is extremely thick and moisturizing with all of it’s natural oils, butters and nutrients. I used this for the first time after my shower. I rubbed this into my body, put on my pjs, and felt my pjs stick to me! This body butter is so thick and moisturizing, it needed more time to soak into my skin then I had originally given it! It is such a thick and moisturizing body butter that I still felt the oils, and a protective barrier, on my skin the next morning. If you do not like lotions that make your feel greasy, then you will not like this body butter. I cannot stress enough how moisturizing and nourishing this body butter is!

This body butter is not only super moisturizing it is also insanely good for your skin. Raw, unrefined Shea Butter is a natural anti-inflammatory. Shea Butter also has essential fatty acids along with Vitamin A and E that helps with skin’s suppleness and elasticity. Shea butter can also help to rebuild collagen and has natural anti-aging properties. Shea butter is in almost every Shea Shea Bakery product, and they use the butter well!

This Cinnamon Bun Body Butter smells like the nuttiness of the Shea Butter with the added sweetness of the cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. The scent lasts on the skin nicely. Shea Shea Bakery also creates these amazing creative tops on their body butters. They are beautiful and make a wonderful decoration in your bathroom! Check out their body butters here and don’t forget their other bath and body products! They are definitely worth a look!

August Empties

Here are my empties and mini reviews of what I used in the month of August!

I used up the Lemslip Buttercream from LUSH. I do not normally like LUSH’s Buttercreams but I really enjoyed this one. I felt like this one actually cleaned, and was more than just a high priced moisturizer. I really enjoyed the lemon scent and I would repurchase this product.

The Dirty Goat Lemon Love Whipped Cleansing Scrub: I very much enjoyed this product. It lathered up very nicely and still offered a nice exfoliation. I am a huge fan of the lemon scents, and I would most definitely repurchase next time it is offered! Here is my review of this product, go check it out!

Zoetic Be Confident Strawberries and Cream Sugar Body Polish: I highly enjoyed this scrub as well! It offers a nice exfoliation and the scent collection is out of this world! Definitely check out Zoetic’s Sugar Body Polishes, they are worth it! Check out my review of this product here.

LUSH Eau Roma Water: I like to use this toner water when my skin is feeling extra dry and sensitive. It has lavender and rose in it, which is super calming and hydrating for the skin. It has a nice relaxing, light lavender scent to it.

I used up three LUSH shower gels: So White, Back for Breakfast, and Butterball. All of these shower gels only had a little bit left in them, so before starting a new product, I used up the last remnants on these shower gels. I would not repurchase So White or Butterball, but I would repurchase Back for Breakfast.

Victoria Secret Noir Tease: I very much enjoyed this perfume, and I would repurchase again. Victoria Secret has nice perfume, and it becomes very reasonably priced when they go on sale!

Last but not least, I used up another Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo. I love this stuff, and I have probably been through 20 bottles of it! It is super affordable and works very well. I will continue to repurchase!
